The National Election Commission has reportedly revised its estimated cost for the upcoming Parliamentary polls.

The Commission’s new revision from Rs. 7 billion intends to keep the election expenditure below Rs. 10 billion.

According to the estimation, Rs. 44 million rupees will be spent to elect one member of Parliament, while nearly Rs. 614 will be spent per voter to elect 225 members to the new Parliament.

A total of 16,263,885 voters have registered for the General election which is scheduled to be held on 05 August 2020.
