Another suspect arrested, T-56, two magazines, 35 live ammunition seized

A suspect in the attack on a hotel in Soysapura on May 29 has been arrested and a T-56 rifle, two magazines and 35 live ammunition have been found, according to the Police Media Division.

The suspect was arrested around 1.30 pm in Malabe yesterday by the Western Province, Southern range Crimes Division officers.

The suspect is a 40-year-old resident of Jalasha Road, Beliyakanda, Galewela and had been residing temporarily in Piliyandala. He was produced before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court yesterday (11).
