The Special Task Force (STF) apprehended a suspected accomplice of drug racketeer and underworld figure ‘Weli Rohan’ with Kerala Cannabis in Wellampitiya.
The suspect has been arrested in a raid based on a tip-off received by the Organized Crime Prevention Unit of the STF.
Investigations had revealed that the suspect, the arrested suspect is the main accomplice who operates the drug racket of underworld figure ‘Weli Rohan’.
The arrested suspect is believed to be a collector of extortion money for prominent underworld figures.
STF officers found the suspect to be in the possession of 1.5 kilograms of Kerala Cannabis.
