420 Lankans repatriated

A total of 420 Sri Lankans stranded in India, Lebanon and New Zealand due to the COVID-19 pandemic returned to the country this morning.

The Flight (UL-1506) from Lebanon had 286 passengers and flight had arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport at around 5.41 a.m. today.
 
Meanwhile, the flight from New Zealand had 88 passengers had arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport last night and another batch of strandeds from India had landed at the Mattala International Airport.

All the passengers and the crew of the plane were subjected to PCR tests.
