Department of Government Information stated that out of 22 cases eight returnees from Kuwait, four returnees from Chennai had tested positive for the Coronavirus yesterday.
The other ten patients have been identified from Sri Lanka Navy.
Accordingly, the total number of COVID-19 positive patients in the country stands at 1857.
Of them, 990 persons had made a full recovery and have been discharged from hospital.
