A suspect who was keeping 147 bottles of illegal liquor to be sold during the curfew period was arrested by the Galle Police.
On a tip-off received, a team of police officers led by IP Chaturanga took the suspect and the stock of illicit liquor into their custody. Investigations reveal that there are seven cases of similar offence pending against the suspect at Galle court.
The suspect who is a resident of Kurunduwatta, Gintota, Galle was to be produced before the Galle Magistrate yesterday evening.
