Lankans returns from Melbourne

A Srilankan Airlines flight arrived this morning with Lankans stranded in Australia due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
 
Flight UL 605 had landed at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) the with 272 passengers from Melbourne.
 
According to the media spokesperson of SriLankan Airlines Deepal Perera said, “This is the 18th UL special flight sent to bring down stranded Lankans in various parts of the world, and there will be another flight arriving from Kuala Lumpur on Monday (11) and in total 18 UL flights have flown on special operations to bring back Lankans stranded during the global pandemic”.
 
He added, there will be more flights operating to bring back Lankans in the coming days.
 
The passengers followed the health protocol and later sent to quarantined centres as directed by the health officials.
