Former Minister Mangala Samaraweera was questioned by the Criminal Investigation Department for the second day today. He was instructed to appear before the CID to record a statement over allegations of misuse of state property during the Presidential Elections.
The Former Minister left the CID premises this noon after being questioned for nearly five hours. It is alleged that he had used several Sri Lanka Transport Board buses to transport voters from Puttalam to Mannar during the 2019 Presidential election when he was the Minister of Finance at the time.
