Within 24-hour period the police had arrested 2709 persons who had violated the curfew orders. The police had also taken into their custody 274 vehicles.
Since the curfew was imposed from 20th of March to 6.00 am 18th May the police have arrested 56,035 persons who had violated the curfew regulations and 16,436 vehicles had also been taken into custody.
Meanwhile, cases have been filed against 15,695 curfew violators so far, the police said
