An outlet of a popular supermarket chain located in Kurana, Negombo was broken into last night during the curfew. CCTV footage from the outlet shows a lone intruder breaking the glass to enter the store and proceeding to rummage through the cash registers.
According to sources, the thief had made away with milk powder worth Rs 10 000. Police are carrying out investigations into the incident.
