No new COVID-19 positive cases reported so far

No COVID-19 patient reported from Sri Lanka during the 24 hours ended this morning and three patients fully cured and left National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NIID). The total COVID-19 patients reported from Sri Lanka by now is 102, Health Ministry spokesman said.
 
According to the spokesman, Health Ministry recommends wear masks only for COVID-19 patients, family members and all the other close associates of those patients, al people who suffer from flu like symptoms (sneezing, cough, headache, fever etc) and health care workers. hands should be washed with soap and water before wearing the mask. Mask should not be touched while wearing it. It should not be touched from front while removing. 
 
Meanwhile the Epidemiology Unit sources said that 247 suspected COVID-19 patients are in selected hospitals island wide. A total of 100 of them in NIID and another 27 Homagama Base Hospital. A total of 25 in Welikanda Base Hospital. Gampaha District General Hospital has 15 patients. There are 11 patients at Ragama Teaching Hospital and another 10 at Hambantota Base Hospital.
 
The highest number of COVID-19 positive patients, 22 found from the Colombo district. Kalutara district recorded the second highest number, 14. There are 10 patients from Gampaha district. The number of patients reported from Quarantine Centres are 34.
 
The public can call and inform 119, 0718591864, 0112444480, 0112444481 about any individual who returned from aboard and hiding inside his/her home or in a relation's home without getting registered for home quarantine process.
