Navy provides lunch for poor people affected by curfew

SL Navy provided lunch for the poor people resided along  the roadsides of Ragama, Wattala and Kandana areas, today (21st March 2020).

According to a concept of the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, lunch was provided today for the poor people distressed under the curfew enacted by the Government. The campaign was conducted under the guidance of Commander Western Naval Area Rear Admiral Sumith Weerasinghe and under the supervision of Naval Officer in Charge-Welisara Captain Pujitha Sugathadasa. The poor civilians in Wattala and Ja Ela Divisional Secretariats  who are living along the roadsides, were provided lunch with the contributions given by all naval personnel in Welisara Naval Complex.

SL Navy is committed to fulfil not only the sterilization programmes but this kind of social responsibility work as well.
