Hemas to offer Club Hotel Dolphin in Negambo as a Quarantine Center

Hemas Holdings Plc has offered to use one of its subsidiary Club Hotel Dolphin in Negambo as a Quarantine Center by the government to Prevent Covid – 19 on a temporary basis if the need arises. The company has communicated the offer to Army Commander and National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak Chairman Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva and is waiting for a response. Earlier, Citrus Waskaduwa offered its 150 roomed resort in Waskaduwa to be used as a temporary quarantine center. Accordingly, Hemas will be the second company in order to do so. Club Hotel Dolphin is an iconic resort located in Waikkal, a mere 50 kms from Colombo and 20 kms from the Bandaranaike International Airport.The property offers 154 rooms and suites. As of today (21) ,the Covid-19 case tally in the country stands at 76. According to the report published by the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry this morning (21), 245 patients are under observation at selected hospitals on suspicion of being infected with the virus.
