The curfew in many areas except Colombo, Gampaha, Puttlam and four districts in the North - Mannar, Vaunia, Kilinochchi and Mullaivu- have been temporarily lifted from 6.00am this morning. It is to be re-imposed from 2.00pm this afternoon.
The banks will remain open for at least two hours during this period.
People have been strictly advised to be cautious while shopping and attending to their banking needs.
