The Cabinet of Ministers has approved to launch an accelerated programme for the provision of 150,000 new domestic water supply connections during the first two quarters of the year.
The proposal was tabled by the Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, as the Minister of Urban, Water Supply and Housing Facilities.
