The historic water trench (Diya Agala) at the Kandy Temple of the Tooth Relic is currently being renovated and President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa had visited the temple to personally inspect the renovation work in progress. The President had visited the Kandy Temple of the Tooth Relic (Dalada Maligawa) to obtain blessings for the new year and had also visited the renovation site on an inspection tour.
The Diyawadana Nilame Predeep Nilanga Dala, State Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Lohan Ratwatte Dilum Amunuigama, Anuradha Jayaratne and MP Ananda Aluthgamage accompanied the President on his tour.
