The Navy and Police apprehended four persons with 31.187g of heroin at Samudragama area in Trincomalee.
During an anti-drug operation carried out in coordination with the Police STF the Navy detected a suspicious three-wheeler in Samudragama area and found 3.187g ( 11 packets) of heroin concealed inside.
Four suspects who were in the three wheeler were arrested, said the navy spokesman.
The suspects were identified as residents of Trincomalee. They are in the age group of 21- 22. The suspects along with heroin and the three wheeler were handed over to Headquarters Police- Trincomalee.
