An Inspector of Police attached to the Mirihana Police shot himself to death inside the police station today, Police media unit said.
The 36-year-old Police officer had been pronounced dead on admission to the Kalubowila Hospital.
He had been working as the officer in charge of the environment protection unit attached to the Mirihana Police station.
The Police are conducting further investigations.
