Former Akuressa Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Saruwa Liyanage Sunil, was sentenced to 15 years rigorous imprisonment by the Colombo High Court.
He was arrested by the Children and Women Bureau of Matara Police in July 2012, for sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl on or around 23 May, 2012 to July 2, 2012.
