Seasoned artistes Chandi Rasika and Sisira Kumaratunga have been granted a pension scheme with the aid of film producer Sandun Dolamulla. They were recently handed over with the official papers granting them pension.
Chandi is a Presidental Award winning actress. However today she is earning a living by catering short eats to shops. Sisira resides in a small room at Ricky cinema. Though they both had contributed to enrich the local cinema industry, they have not spoken up about their living standards after they have distances themselves from the industry.
Besides providing them with pensions Dolamulla has also provided them with the necessary aid for them to continue their present occupations.
