The Court of Appeal today ordered Justice Minister, Justice Ministry Secretary and Attorney General to take appropriate action against the Government Analyst for his failure to comply with several court orders regarding the alleged consignment of containers carrying waste material.
The Court of Appeal expressed its serious concern over the failure of the Government Analyst’s to provide an analytical report regarding the consignments of imported waste material currently being stored in the Colombo Port.
It was transpired in Court of Appeal that the Government Analyst is yet to release his analytical report regarding the alleged consignment of containers carrying waste materials, even court had issued orders to do so, on three occasions.
