Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the most parts of the island after 1.00p.m , said the Department of Meteorology.
Light showers will occur in coastal areas of the Northern and Eastern provinces during the morning too.
Fairly heavy falls about 50-75 mm can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, Uva and North-western provinces.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and Uva provinces during the morning.
General public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
