Southern expressway extension will be opened from midnight on November 8th will for public travel, according to the Road Development Authority.
Accordingly, on Southern Expressway 21.8 kilometer section from Barawakumbuka to Mattala via Andarawewa and the 16.6 kilometer section from Andarawewa to Hambantota , and the Outer Circular Highway 9.6 kilometer Kadawatha - Kerawalapitiya section will be opened from Midnight Friday.
This extension will provide the experience of switching from one Expressway to another for the first time in Sri Lanka.
