Siripala Hettiarachchi assumed duties as the new Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, Internal Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government at the ministry premises at Independent Square in Colombo 07 this morning.
Assuming duties Hettiarachchi said that he is determined to fulfill the President’s aim of transforming this country towards a prosperous path and he intends to steer the entire state service towards this goal.
He also invited all staff members of his ministry to render the fullest support in achieving this goal.
Former Ministry Secretary J.J. Ratnasiri and a large gathering of ministry officials were present on this occassion.
