There were lots of fun and excitement at the Sing-Along and Concert held October 25, Ape Gama Theatre in Battaramulla. This was an initiative by Rev. Dr. Anthony Fernandopulle the Parish Priest, to raise necessary funds in aid of the Mission House Construction Project at St. John Dal Bastone Church, Pelawatte. The event turned out to be one big Friday night party with more than 600 people in attendance, mostly parishioners comprising of families with children, their friends, loved ones and relatives. The young and the old rocked the dancing floor, to some scintillating music by Sohan and the X’periments, Rukshan Perera, Anil Bharathi and Yasmin De Silva. The musicians did a splendid job to keep the dance floor alive and ticking withsome superb music and entertainment. A joyful family atmosphere prevailed throughout the show with some delicious food and drink stalls, catering to the taste buds as well. The audience was treated with welcome gifts and, there were entrance ticket draws, baila competitions etc., making it a night to remember for all the parishioners of St. John Dal Bastone Church.
