Prestige Automobiles, the first in Asia to roll out BMW’s online service platform

Prestige Automobiles (Pvt) Ltd, the sole authorised dealer for BMW in Sri Lanka, has launched an online service platform, which allows customers to book a maintenance service at their convenience using a computer or a smart phone device. This initiative, which covers a range of after sales services from regular oil service, routine maintenance and general repair to safety-related checks and professional car care, is the first such rollout in the region which Prestige Automobile belongs to under BMW Asia. Celebrating this new initiative, Prestige Automobile is offering a 20% discount on labour charges for the initial online booking made via the newly launched platform for a limited time. Customers can login to the platform via www.bmw.lk/servicebooking or by scanning the QR code available on the service tags and vehicle sticker. The website directs customers to a predefined ‘Request for Service Appointment’online form where the customer can enter their personal and service information. Once the request form is submitted, the customer will receive a notification, and a Prestige Service Assistant will revert to the customer within 48 hours with either a confirmation of the appointment or a proposed rescheduled time slot if the customer preferencescannot be accommodated. This semi-automated, value added service will save customers the time and hassle associated with placing service appointments, and would enable them to enjoy more of their personal time. Speaking on the launch of the online service booking platform, Laksiri de Silva, General Manager After-sales, Prestige Automobile Ltd, noted that, “We strive to create a seamless, consistent customer experience by developing and integrating new technologies and services to meet the expectations of modern mobility. Our new online service booking platform, another first from Prestige, is a reflection of our renewed focus on customer experience and innovation.
