The Jaffna University premises has been declared out of bounds for all undergraduates for two days from yesterday.
Vice Chancellor Prof. K.Kandasamy has made this declaration in view of certain students planning to conduct unauthorised activities inside the university premises yesterday and today.
University authorities said there were plans by a student faction to hold a “Mahaviru Day” event during these two days.
Undergraduates were informed that the university premises has been declared out of bounds for the students of all faculties on 28 and 29. Students are advised to refrain from entering the university premises and from taking part in unauthorised activities. Academic activities will continue from Saturday.
