The Navy apprehended a drug trafficker with 95 grammes of Kerala cannabis during a raid carried out in coordination with the Police STF, at the Settipuram area in Velani, on Monday (7), a media release issued by the Navy said.
Accordingly, during a raid carried out at the Settipuram area in Velani by the Northern Naval Command in coordination with the Police STF, a suspicious motorcycle had been observed. The officers had found Kerala cannabis in the possession of the rider.
The suspect had been identified as a resident of Velani area aged 34. The recovered amount of Kerala cannabis, the suspect and the motorcycle were handed over to Kayts Police for further investigation.
