UNP is not family-centric – Sajith

Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs Minister Sajith Premadasa yesterday said the United National Party (UNP) is not a family-centric political organization.

“The UNP is hinging on the core principles of democracy and nobody has been barred from airing their views and opinions ,” he said

The Minister exuded confidence in resolving the national issue by winning the hearts of all communities. Premadasa said he is capable of resolving this issue and ensure development and the well-being of the people of all communities living in the country.

The Minister was addressing a press conference at the Media Centre erected at the Enterprise Sri Lanka exhibition in Jaffna yesterday. The Minister also visited the Thinakaran stall at the exhibition site. Minister Premadasa added that his will build the country by alleviating the poverty among the people.


Sajith meets TNA MPs

Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs Minister Sajith Premadasa yesterday held a discussion with a group of TNA parliamentarians in Jaffna.

TNA parliamentarians MA Sumanthirana, E Saravanabavan, T Sidharthan, Mavai Senathirajah and Jaffna Mayor Emmanuel Arnold participated in this meeting which was held in a hotel in Jaffna.

Earlier in the day, the Minister opened the 274th model village in Urelu, Jaffna.

The Minister donated household items and sports equipment to the villagers
