The National Police Commission yesterday appointed Senior DIG Jagath Abeysiri Gunawardene as the police official in charge of Elections, the police media unit said yesterday.
His new appointment runs parallel to current responsibilities as the Senior DIG in-charge of the Western Province and the Motor Traffic Division.
