The Singaporean unit of the French landing gear company, Safran Landing Systems, has won a deal to renovate the landing gear of 6 A330-200 Aircrafts operated by the national carrier, SriLankan Airlines.
The proposal presented by Minister of Finance to award this contract to M/s Safran Landing Systems Services Singapore, concerning 6 A330-200 was approved by the cabinet on Wednesday (11).
The tender was awarded for the period starting from August 1, 2019 to July 31, 2020.
Safran Landing Systems (formerly Messier-Bugatti-Dowty) is a French company involved in the design, development, manufacture and customer support of all types of aircraft landing gear, wheels and brakes and a wholly owned subsidiary of Safran SA.
It is the world’s largest manufacturer of aircraft landing gear.
The company projects are divided into two business units: Airbus & European Programs and Boeing & North American Programs.
