Prevailing showery condition over the island is expected to continue until 25th night, said the Department of Meteorology.
Showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the island.
Very heavy falls above 200 mm are likely at some places in Western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces.
Heavy falls above 100 mm are likely at some places in North-western, Northern, Uva and Eastern provinces.
General public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning.
