Kanjipani Imran’s father, brother and four others who were arrested while trying to smuggle proscribed items which they intended to give to Kanjipani Imran were produced before Galle magistrate today have been remanded till September 25th.
The six individuals were arrested by prison officers when they were attempting to hand over proscribed items to notorious underworld figure who is currently remanded in Boosa Prison in Galle.
Prison officers detected two mobile phones, two chargers, a piece of wire cord packed covertly in two lunch packets brought to be given to Mohammed Najeem Mohammed Imran alias Kanjipani Imran.
