A hand grenade was found in a garden in Sunkankerny in the Valaichchenai Police Area on Thursday evening (12). Someone had set fire to ‘Illuk’ plants and the fire had spread to the garden. Those who gathered to douse the fire had found the grenade, police said. Valaichchenai Police are investigating.
