The Watawala Plantations PLC team carried out a health camp in the Nakiyadeniya area, which is in the Southern Region, on the 12th of August 2019 as part of their village integration and community engagement initiative, named “Kalana Mithuru”. The initiative was ably supported by other entities of Sunshine Holdings PLC, such as Healthguard Pharmacy Limited, Sunshine Healthcare Lanka Limited and Watawala Tea Ceylon Limited who are all a part of the Group of which Watawala Plantations PLC is a proud member. The initiative saw large numbers attending the event held at the Nakiyadeniya temple where general medical advice was given and drugs were dispensed as per prescription of the doctors in attendance. This is just one event in a series of activities being carried out as a part of the Watawala “Kalana Mithuru” initiative in the Udugama area in the south of the country.
