A person has been arrested in Ambalangoda ,on suspicion of the murder of the Chief Jailor of Welikada Prison Training School.
The suspect was arrested in Hikkaduwa yesterday on charges of aiding and abetting the murder of the Chief Jailor of Welikada.
The police have recovered 63 live ammunition rounds used for the T-56 rifle hidden at his house and 15 SIM cards.
The shooting had been carried out at around 6.00 pm on August 03. The chief jailor, Thilina Ruwan Thihara, 44-year-old was shot dead at Kuleegoda Junction in Ambalangoda.
