A public meeting on establishing a PEN (Poets, Essayists, Novelists) Centre in Sri Lanka is to be held on August 18 at Chance Palace Hotel, Weyangoda, at 9.30am.
The event is being organised by the Asian Culture & Media Alliance. Enrollment of new members to the organisation is also to be carried out on this day.
PEN International is an organisation founded in 1921, in London, to serve as a space for writers everywhere to come together to share ideas, build relationships, and connect. The writers, journalists, poets, essayists, novelists, bloggers, playwrights, script writers, publishers, professionals, and anyone who has interest of this regard, join the organisation.
