India celebrates 73rd Independence Day

India is celebrating its 73rd Independence Day today.

All eyes are on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address to the nation at the Red Fort in New Delhi.

Tricolour will be hoist in different parts of the nation. It is also the first Independence Day celebration after Centre's decision to scrap Jammu and Kashmir's special status.
