A total number of 7666 motorists have been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol from July 5 to August 8 the police media said.
A special island-wide operation was commenced from July 5 , in order to apprehend drunk drivers.
Accordingly 110 drunk drivers were arrested from August 7, 6.00am to August 8, 6.00am.
