The newly constructed Nuwara Eliya District General Hospital will be declared open by President Maithripala Sirisena on July 15.
The new hospital built with Rs.7 billion assistance from the Kingdom of Netherlands consists 600 beds, modern hospital equipment, Surgical Operation Theatre, Intensive Care Units, Out-Patients Departments (OPD).
