Eight suspects, including the owner of the Prado mathematics tutor Dinesh Nuwan Amaratunga, the owner of the defender Udam Indula Sri Sampath Chandula Amaratunga and two others who had surrendered to the court today over an alleged attack on a van at Kalagedihena, were remanded till July 29 by the Attanagalle Magistrate's Court.
Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara told the Daily News that the other two suspects who had surrendered today were Eriyagamapalle Walawwe Chamara Dilum Kumara Eriyagama and Hettiarachchilage Sanath Akalanka.
Four suspects who had surrendered to the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) earlier were arrested over the incident and remanded until today.
