A total number of 3879 motorists have been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol from July 5 to July 19, the police media said.
A special operation was launched from July 5 to August 5 to nab drivers driving under the influence of alcohol.
Accordingly 177 drunk drivers were arrested from July 18, 6.00am to July 19, 6.00am.
