Two were arrested last evening for allegedly extorting money from bank accounts and eZ- Cash by calling for landline phones.
Officers of the Mirihana Special Criminal Investigation Unit have arrested them after a long term investigation.
The arrested suspects are 44-year-old and 31-year-old, residents of Polpithigama area.
The suspects are to be produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate's Court today.
