Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Ministry provided a brand new ambulance to the Parliament recently, Health Ministry spokesman said.
According to the spokesman, the Ford ambulance is nearly Rs. 10 million worth and produced in Germany. It has many modern high tech facilities and equipment.
The Health Ministry has already provided a large number of Ford and Benz brand new ambulances to many state hospitals and several other state health institutions located island wide. Recently Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne handed over 100 such ambulances to state hospitals, he said.
