A motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries after being run over by a cab which was travelling at high speed on the Kudagalgamuwa road in the Kurunegala Police Division yesterday morning.
According to the Police Media Spokesperson’s office, the accident occurred near the 09th Mile Post in the Yakandarawa Kanda area at Kudagalgamuwa.The victim has been identified as Dissanayake Mudiyanselage Kanishka Jayasanka Dissanayaka (31) of Goluwakada in Beddegama.
The body of the victim is now being kept at the Kurunegala Government Hospital Morgue for the postmortem.
The cab driver was arrested by the Kurunegala Police.
