Justice and Prison Reforms Minister Thalatha Athukorala condemned the statement given by Western Province Governor Azath Salley alleging that some judges have links to terrorist group that carried out the Easter Sunday attack.
Minister Athukorala said that if the Western Province Governor really has such information he should first inform me personally as the subject minister or the President or the Prime Minister. Revealing such information via media cannot be accepted.
“No information has received yet regarding any connections of judges to the terrorists. But we are ready to take action against any person who had ties with terrorism without considering their position, political view and so on.” she added.
