A Chilaw Urban Councillor attached to the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) has been arrested by Negombo Police for possessing 1.08kg of heroin worth Rs.10 million on Monday.
The suspect had been absconding when the police arrested him at a house in Madampe. Investigations are continuing.
