Six persons were arrested yesterday in possession of gemstones and other valuables goods. The Bogawantalawa police said the arrest made on a tip off by a person in the surrounding area of the crime scene.
According to reports, the arrest was made on Sunday afternoon, when a tip off given to the Olcotte Police. The suspects are aged 28,45,48,52 and 65.
The police have remanded the suspects and will be produced before the Bogawantalawa magistrate court on the 23rd of this month.
