The Colombo Crime Division acting on a tip-off took into custody a suspect with five grams and 300 mg of heroin, in the Grandpass Police Division yesterday.
The suspect has been identified as Nurmerian Joshep Antony (48), a resident of Orugodawatte.
He was produced before the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court yesterday and Colombo Crime Division is continuing investigations.
Meanwhile, a suspect was nabbed with two grams and 110 mg of heroin the Moratuwa Police Division yesterday.
The raid was conducted on a tip-off by the Police Special Task Force.
The suspect has been identified as Jayasinghage Don Sujeewa Sarathchandra (50), a resident of Moratuwa.
He was produced before the Moratuwa Magistrate’s Court yesterday and Moratuwa Police are continuing investigations.
