CSE to commence second intake of its Diploma in Financial Markets

Following a successful completion of its first intake in 2018 the Advance Diploma in Financial Markets offered by the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) is set to commence its second intake on 22 April 2019. ADFM is the first academic qualification to be awarded by the CSE in order to foster maximizing knowledge in financial markets with a specific focus on capital Market operations. The course conducted in English will be carried out by an eminent lineup of lecturers with senior CSE professionals to offer unique insight on modules. This qualification is recognized by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and has provided ADFM completed students an accelerated route to obtain a CIMA professional Qualification and the global professional designation of Chartered Global Management accountants (CGMA). Commenting on the initiative CSE Head of Market Development Mr. Niroshan Wijesundere said, “We are encouraged by the positive response received for the first intake which was recently concluded, with the diploma attracting both students and professionals looking to qualify in financial markets.” “ADFM will act as a launch pad for a career in financial markets and also the partnership with CIMA provides an ideal platform for students who are keen to embark on a journey towards a management accounting career,” he added. The course which would cover various financial market and capital market related modules is expected to be completed within a nine-month period.
